How old do I have to be?

I'm 15 years old, and I want a summer job. I've been told by people that I could be employed by big stores, ie. Asda, Tesco. Would they really hire someone of my age?

no i dont think so..you will only get a job at that age in a small store such as spar,centre,supervalue etc..

I know Asda only employ 18 year olds or over. Definitly not 15 year olds. Not sure about Tesco but I'm guessing it would be the same. I think Sainsbury's take on 16 year olds though, if that helps! Happy job hunting! P.s Some Department stores (e.g House of Fraser, Woolworths etc.) also employ 16 year olds...so I guess it depends on how long till you're 16. But I think you might have trouble finding a job at 15. Companies are cautious about employing those who are a little too young - sorry if that sounds patronising!
