How old do I have to be to get an apprenticeship as an electrician?

  1. i think you have to be in year 10 or 16 i have a 15 year old friend who is in yr 10 doing an aprenticeship

    This is like where you work for 3 days and still go to school for 2 days.   See if you school does this (they did at my sons school in Qld)   This way the school guidance counsellor can help finding you employment etc...

    Bear in mind the first couple years are not good pay, you will be on around $390 a week less tax, say $340-$350 a week.

    My son and his mate have both started apprenticeships this year and are 17.
