How old do I have to be to work in Manhattan...a fast food restaurant or clothing store...any job for teens?

I would check with the NY State Department of Labor and the City of NY. Both should have information on their web sites as to age restrictions. I suspect that 14 is too young to be able to get a job.

Yes, you are 14 and in NYC that is the youngest legal age for a job! I don't think a clothing store will hire you but you can work at any fast food restaurant or even try newspaper delivery person, and also working as a filing clerk in an office. Hope that helps!
