Does it show that you have a child anywhere on either of either the actual soldiers ID or the wife or husbands ID? How old do the children have to be to get their own ID? Thanks!

  1. Everyone is correct, it is age 10.  However there are certain situation that may warrant the child to get a card before the age of 10. If the child lives with their custodial parent part of the time, then they are still eligible for medical/dental benefits and can have their ID before the age of 10.  If the couple is mil to mil (both AD) then the child can have an ID at any age even as early as a baby.

  2. you have to be 10 to get a id card. i know a lady who works at the id office and she will give them out when ever BUT by Army standards Rules and REGS you have to be 10

  3. all are wrong, I work at a medical office and the kids that come throught there range from infint to 18 and atleast one in each age have a military ID. So you can have one at any age

  4. Kids get an ID card at age 10.  As long as your kids are enrolled in DEERS you won't have any issues getting them medical or dental care.

Army Wife 2be - I have been in the Army for 23 years now and my wife and I have four kids - they will not issue them ID cards until they are 10 - in some cases like a divorce or unmarried spouse to someone in the military they need a card when that person is seeking treatment at a medical or dental facility but that is the only way they will get a card prior to age 10.

  5. it depends who be the baby daddy!

  6. 10 unless you happen to get stationed overseas then they will require one earlier.

  7. In the Army I know it is 10/

  8. Normally 10 years old. If they're a dependent  of a military member who is divorced from their mother and live with her, then they'd have an I.D. at a younger age.

  9. hi it is ten..unless they are the child of an active duty parent and their parents divorce..then they will get one at any age..i know this because when my husband and i divorced our 7 year old daughter had an id card issued to her...so that i could get her on base and to the dr when needed...
