  1. MAYBE YOU COULD GET A PREPAID ONE BUT I DON'T SEE THAT HAPPENING.

A FEW DAYS AGO I GOT THE CHASE HIGH SCHOOL CHECKING ACCOUNT FOR THOSE 13-17. IT IS LINKED TO A PARENTS ACCOUNT. MY PACKAGE COMES WITH A VISA CHECK CARD. THERE ARE NO SERVICE FEES. ALL THE RULES APPLY WITH THIS ACCOUNT EXCEPT IF YOU OVERDRAFT IT IS TAKEN FROM YOUR PARENTS. SO BE CAREFUL. IT CONVERTS TO A FREE CHECKING ACCOUNT WHEN YOU TURN 19.

  2. Most bank policies require you to be 18!

Though, if you really want a debit card, Wells Fargo offers a Teen Checking Acct.!

But, your parent has to be on the Acct. with you-which you don't want!

Also, US Bank offers a prepaid Visa Card, but I wouldn't get it, becuase it comes with many fees.

Hope mine was the best answer.  Hint...hint! =]]

  3. It Depends. I really don't know what banks offer cards without you having to be on your parents account.

But, I do know of a company that you only have to be 14 y.o. to get a debit card from them. If you are younger than that you you may need get with your parents account like the other posters suggest. Check it out see if it works for you. that's all I can say. You don't need a bank account. They say it's 100 percent approval. I guess if it's true. Your in. I suspect you will have to get your parents or guardians permission.

I signed up with them for different reasons, because I needed someplace to to direct deposit my pay check and get a debit card. And for personal (dumb) reasons I couldn't get bank account.

See If these guys work for you.

  4. my friend got on at 17 almost 18 but you can get a green dot visa
