How old do i have to be to ride a dirt bike?

im thinkin about buying a dirt bike. how old do i need to be to ride it, or get a license. ive seen a guy riding it around at a public park. Is it ok to be riding it in parks like taht?

i live in cali btw

No state in the United States has any minimum age for riding a bicycle, dirt or otherwise.  I don't know for Europe, but I'd be surprised if the answer weren't the same worldwide.

Most public parks ban motorized vehicles of any description except for handicapped persons.  The fact that you saw someone doing it does not mean it is legal.  I just saw someone turn left on the highway without signaling, which is also illegal.

well as long as u know how to ride i would say 16 or up and the only way to get a license for it would be to make it street legal... and as for the guy riding it at the park not that's not legal that's why they have trails.
