I'm under 15 but need a job for personal reasons.

  1. Generally it is 14 ½ to work, but you can work earlier as long as your have your parent’s permission.


  2. As a Melburnian, I know for certain that the minimum working age is 14 and 9 months.

  3. See the website on Employment rights for under 15 year olds.. ....in a nutshell it states - "If you're under 15, you may be allowed to work in Victoria, but you must have a Child Employment Permit (CEP) from the Victorian Government before you can start."
