  1. they live for exactly 2 1/2 years

  2. usually 3/4 years

my black gerbil lived up to 5 years

  3. The typical lifespan of a gerbils is 3 years. However, they can live up to about 5 years.

  4. The lifespan for a healthy, well-bred, and well taken care of gerbil [providing that it is living with one or more companions of the same gender, and hasn't been bred] is actually more than most people think, 4-5 years on average.

My previous pair lived to 5.5 and 6 years, and had a healthy, happy life. Although there was a significant decline in the physical and emotional health of the second gerbil after his brother passed away. Never keep gerbils without a companion! A very long time ago, I had a gerbil who was required to be separated from his siblings, and never had a cagemate after that. He lived 2yrs.

  5. Gerbils can live up to 3 years, but not many reach that age.

  6. if their lifespan is similar to hamsters about 3 years

  7. well gerbils will to 2 to 5 year in cages more 2 than 5, I think the oldest gerbil in the world was 8

  8. they live about 1000 days or close to 3 years.

  9. I'm sorry.  I love my gerbils too but the life span is only around three years.
