  1. Average is 5-7 years, but sometimes up to 8-9 years. I know some people have had 10-11 year old guinea pigs though.

  6. None of mine have ever lived more than 3 years. I did take very good care of them with regular vet checkups. My mother had one though that lived to be 7 years old, which I hear is extremely rare.
