  1. Each airline has their own requirements. Most do allow an unaccompanied minor to travel on their own with the documentation filled in and signed by the parents.

You will need a valid passport though to go out of the country.

  2. It might depend on the airline:

    International Travel

Under 6 years   On most flights, children under 6 must be accompanied by a person 15 years or over who is an immediate family member or who has written permission from the child's parent/guardian.

Exception: On Qantas International services a child of 5 years or more can travel unaccompanied provided the child's flying time (not including ground time) does not exceed 6 hours.

6 to 11 years (inclusive)   Simply complete the Qantas 'Unaccompanied Minor' forms in the red 'Unacompanied Minor' wallet.

12 to 15 years (inclusive)   Children can travel as Unaccompanied Minors only at the request of their parent or guardian. If no request is made, there will be no special arrangements. However, Qantas staff are, of course, readily available to assist your child.

  3. Each airline has different exceptions, check.

  4. any age ps 9- 1000000

  5. there is no age limit

  6. theres no limit!

  7. I dont think there's really a limit, but you may have to fill out an unnaccompanied minor's form or ticket or something so that the staff on the flight can look after you especially, not seat you in a responsibility seat (like the one near the emergency exit) etc. If it's qantas, you know that they'll probably go overboard to ensure that you're ok every 5 minutes which may be very annoying lol
