  1. if you are home schooled -- since you asked this in the home schooling area of Yahoo ed/ref -- as long as you have finished work in grades k-6 and are capable of doing 7th grade work in all subjects, you are a 7th grader.  many homeschoolers are 1-2 years ahead throughout their entire pre-college years, and go into college early.

  2. as a general rule of thumb, add 5 to the grade, so 12 or so.

  3. Depends on when your birthday is. You can be 11 when you start and finish the year as a 12yo, or you can be 12 when you start and have your birthday later in the year and be 13 when you finish. Or you can be 12 the whole year through if your birthday is in the summer.

  4. 12 or 13.

  5. I was 11 then turned twelve in the seventh grade.  The average age is 11-13 depending on the birthdate.

  6. 12ish, or 13.

I was 12 years old in the 7th grade, but I was young for my grade. I would recommend going into it at the age of 13.

  7. Well... if you're in Arkansas, you have to be 21.

  8. Usually around 12-13.

  9. Here where I live you must be 12 by December 1st of that school year for 7th grade. So therefore your 12 & 13. But however if your birthday falls after December 1st of that school year then you would be 13 & 14 in the 7th grade.

  10. As others have stated, average age is 11-13, but you can always test out of a grade and move up if you are socially, emotionally and intellectually advanced.

  11. 12 or 13 depending on when your birthday is.

  12. The average age is 12 but there are a lot of kids older or younger in 7th.  It depends ;)
