  1. In Nevada you can be in Juvenile Detention from the ages of 8-17. Although if you had a warrant when you were a juvy you could still end up in Juvy up until the age of 22 until they clear the warrant which is usually the next day. In regular jail you can be as young as 16 if they certify you as an adult or automatically depending on the crime you committed. Murder, kidnapping, etc.

  2. it can vary with different crimes but for the most part 17 & under go to juvenile hall/youth authority and 18+ go to county jail/state prison.

  3. Simple answer: from a cop's charge, you are gonna' be 18 or over; on the judge's call, you can be from 14 up......in some states lower....

  4. All you have to be is 14 or over to be locked up in a jail and may have not even violated any laws.

  5. 18 and over.

  6. 18 and over

  7. Juveniles can be charged as juveniles for criminal conduct as early as 10 years of age.  Most states do not call these types of cases "criminal".   Most refer to juveniles as delinquents.

Most states do allow for juveniles to be charged as adults for certain offenses.  I believe the youngest a juvenile can be charged as an adult for any offense is 14 years of age.

  8. I don't have to be any age, but in my state, YOU have to be 17 to go to jail. Other than that, you can be around 12 to go to juvi, but you usually get out the next day until your court hearing.
