  1. Legal age for driving in France is 18. You can drive with a British licence.

    In France if your licence is less than three years old you have to have an 'A' (The equivalent of L) on your car and you are restricted to lower speed limits. I do not know if it applies to foreign licences too. However you won't be able to rent a car even with a foreign licence of less than three years old.
