How old do u have to be to wear contacts?

ok so, ihave glasses but the problem is that i get headaches and have even more trouble with them then without them and most the time ijust decide not to wear them. so i was just wondering if u had to be over a certain age to wear contacts?

and if so are you aloud to choose color contacts along with vision contacts?

There is no age requirement for contact lenses.  The youngest person I knew who wore them was 10 years and had to demonstrate to her parents that she was responsible enough to care for them.  Contacts require more care than glasses because you have insert/remove them, keep them clean, and change them as needed.  You can get colored contacts as well if they are made in your prescription.  I was looking for colored contacts and they are not made in my prescription unless I want to pay more and have them custom made.

There are some adults I know who are not responsible enough to wear contacts and often have eye infections because they do not properly care for their lenses or their eyes.

Also you mentioned that your eyeglasses give you headaches so you do not wear them most of the time.  If you've had them more than two weeks, the prescription may not be correct and you should have that checked by the prescriber.

there is no certain age that u have to be to wear contacts

i think u need to order a special contacts to get them both colored and prescribed.

However i think glasses are way much easier to handle than contacts

contacts, there are many required work to wear them and handle them.

Also did u just start to wear glasses?

because if u just started to wear glasses u might be getting headaches because u are not really used to the clear view. That happened to me alot

try wearing the glasses for a little more and see if u get used to it
