i want to know how old do u have to be to have a tattoo

In Jersey you have to be 16 with parental permission.

If you are under 18 you need to bring your birth certificate, a pic ID of yourself, you parent, their ID, and a certified letter written by your parent.

you have to be 18 to go get one on your own, i think you have to be at least 16 to get it done with a parent with you. but alot of shops won't even do it at all until you are 18.

It doesn't matter where you go it's pretty much standard all over the country 18. Even with parent consent or if the parent goes with you no one will do it. Unless you have someone of course do it outside of the parlor shop, maybe a friend you know or something i know that's how allot of people get em done before turning 18 other than that no parlor will tattoo.

i tried to convince my dad to let me get this tatt when i was 16 and i'm glad he didn't though, because now i absolutely hate that one idea.

but i am 18 and i have four and i love them and they are very well thought out.

i know when i have kids i'm going to make them wait till they turn 18 because i don't want them to blame me when they get one and they end up regretting it.

It depends where you live. I stay in South Carolina so you have to be 21 down here So it really depends on the location.
