To get a house. Or a place to live?

Do you have to be 18 or can you be 16 or how does that work?

  1. I really doubt they care as long as you have the money.

  2. In order to sign any kind of legal contract in Mexico, like a house rental agreement, you have to be at least 18 years old.

  3. You can NOT even enter Mexico as a child.  You need notarized permission from a parent and you have to travel with a guardian.

    The age is 18.

There is one thing you can do is bail yourself out.

You may stay for a period of 180 days on a FM T. It is NOT renewable.  You may leave Mexico for a period of one day and apply for another indefinitely.

If as they say "you have money" you can , with $18,000.00 apply and get an FM 3 which is a yearly temporary resident visa.

Option two is one would have to prove that he or she can afford to live here and not become a burden to the state.  That amount is approximately $1500.00 per month.

  4. You have to be at least 18 to get any kind of property.
