  1. If you are working you must be paid minimum wage---it's the law.  Of course this doesn't count if you are babysitting for your neighbor of walking their dog.


  2. If you're old enough to work, you're old enough to get paid min wage.  Any job that takes out taxes must pay min wage.

    That doesn't count underage for jobs like lawn mowing or babysitting.

  3. The legal age for working in America is 16 years old and you can start at the minimum wage in the state. and if their is a hardship in the family you can get working papers and work at 15 years old.

  5. You can receive a work permit at 15 1/2, however, most businesses have minimum age limits set above 15 1/2. If you work for a legitimate business - not "under the table" you are eligible for minimum wage same as anyone else.
