  2. 21

  3. At least 19 and married with good job, place to live with extra room and around $25,000.00 in savings.

  4. will it depends if u are single or not if u can financial help the child

  5. its 23 me and my husband have looked into it already.

  6. I think it is 18 but you have to be able to prove you can support this child and you are mentally stable enough.

  7. The age will vary based on the state laws as well as agency requirements.  You also indicated Florida in your question.  I found this for you:  "Who Can Adopt?

Most adults who can provide a stable, loving home to a child can adopt. Married couples, single parents, working mothers, parents who already have children, people who live in apartments, and people of any religious faith, race, and education level will be considered."  It does not specify an age, but you can find additional information for Florida at:  http://www.dcf.state.fl.us/adoption/faq....

If you decide to use an adoption agency, there may be additional regulations that they have set forth with their agency so be sure to check with them also.

    Good luck to you.

  8. 21 unless it's family, then 18

  9. im not sure i think its like 21 nad over but you should call cps they can tell you :)

  10. 18, I think. I think it would be 18 since you are an adult then.

  11. I've been going through the process since October 2006; and every bit of literature I've read has stated all prospective parents MUST be at least 25 years old.

  12. 18 or older. Hope is helps :0)

  13. It really doesn't matter, because if you are adopting -- from an agency, you must have an approved Adoption Homestudy.  And the agency will have specific requirements of their own, and so will the Social Worker approving the Homestudy -- based on years of experience of working with families.

Most agencies require a prospective adoptive applicant to be 23-25 AND have a mature, stable history as well.  But most PREFER the adoptive parent to be late twenties or more.

Why?  Because they are (SHOULD BE) looking at the best possible outcome for the child!

If an agency is very lenient, and approved anyone who walks in or anyone who has an approved homestudy -- be wary!

Of course, if you are talking about trying to adopt a sibling, or relative, and there are no more appropriate caregivers available, you might be approved if you are the legal age to adopt in your state.

  14. Florida Statute 63.402 says "an unmarried  adult" or "married couple" so 18

  15. Except for a rare exception (such as emancipated minors adopting younger siblings)  you must be 18 and sometimes 21 to adopt.

  16. i would hope that you are an adult, and can prove that you are responsible and have the financial means to adopt.  the age is probably 25.

  17. In Florida, you must be at least 18.
