  1. there is no set age but you need to know what to do if the child is ill or cuts them self or if there's an emergency. my brother's 15 and he babysits three children regularly. but a friend of mine is thirteen and dare i say it slightly irresponsible but she's been babysitting since she was 8.

  2. I think you have to be 14 to do part time work for friends or family. I think you can find out the facts and the wages you can get on the government website. Search for "Employment law" and ".gov"

I think at 14 you are restricted the hours you can do per week.. Good luck!

  3. however old the people who's children you're looking after would like you to be, depends if you are close friends and relatives to them(about 13/14 onwards if you're responsible) or complete strangers in which case maybe 16-18+

  4. I would never ask a girl under 14 to babysit and  I would like to know her first to make sure that it was not an easy place for her to meet her boyfriend when we were out!

  5. i wouldnt trust anyone under the age of 16 but it all depends on the age of the children and the experience

  6. I think it might be about 14, but i think that is far too young, I think 18 is better.

  7. Over 16 if your baby sitting a child over 3 years, any younger that i would say 18...really it depends on what you know about children and the age of them
