How old do you have to be to be a junior lifeguard?

I am 11 and thinking of trying out to be a junior lifeguard at my pool.

The program I was in went from the ages 8 to 17.  It might vary by communities but I think you'll be old enough to join.  It's a lot of fun, and it's rewarding knowing that you're also helping keep people safe.

Im not really sure..but you can find out from someone at the pool...im sure they have an office.
