You can get a work permit at 14 yrs. age.  

Just go to your schools guidance department and fill out.  There are restrictions as far as the hours you can work per day and the type of job.  The permit will explain.

I think some states have different provisions on the child labor laws but you can either go to your town hall(of school is out for the summer) or your schools guidence office  and pick up a  work permit. BUt  I know in my state you cant work past a certain time at night and you cant work more than a certain amount of hours and when the school season begins again hours in school count as hours worked..... you could probably find the information on your states webpage...which should be a .gov address like i'm from mass so mine is mass.gov
