How old do you have to be to book a hotel room in London?

Me and my boyfriend are planning a trip to London, England, and we'll both be 17 at the time. There will be no adults there (but they will know, mind you). I need to know if it's possible. :D

As far as I understand it you have to be of legal age to book a hotel room, and that's 18.  Your best bet would be to phone a hotel and ask them.
