How old do you have to be to buy cigerets in England?

I'm just curious, because it varies form country to country..

it used to be 16 but a recent change. Now It's 18

But if you can't spell cigarettes I doubt your old enough.

Hey. You can smoke at the age of 16, however you cant buy tobacco (ciggerates) at the age of 16. You have to be 18. But i think they are trying to change the law so that you have to be 18 to smoke.  Hope that helps:)
