How old do you have to be to buy cigeretts in New York?

18 but don't smoke.  It is so bad for you and it is so expensive.  I don't know how people can even afford to smoke.  Quit while you are young because then it becomes so addicting and it is so hard to stop.  My dad died from a massive heart attack from smoking.  He was only 66.  It also causes lung cancer and emphysema but I guess when you are young you think you are invincible.

Who cares?  Smoking is so stupid why would you buy them in the first place?

To Em, It  isn't 18 EVERYwhere. In Alabama, you have to be 19. But I think everywhere else is 18.
