Any age can buy them.   Make sure you follow directions and be patient.  It might not work within an hour but an overdose can be miserable.

You shold be old enough to understand that they are an aid to help you bypass constipation not lose weight. laxatives do not work to make you lose fat. All they do is rob your body of nutrients. You will not lose an OUNCE of fat. Fat is the only thing people notice on your body not some water weight lost on scale (which you gain right back)

If you Think you need them NOW -- ask your parents and they can help determine if you have a REAL need or if you have something a doctor should help with.  

If you don't know what K does for your body (and you don't even know what "K" is) quit self diagnosing/medicating.

Self medication is dangerous stuff even for adults.

There is no certain age.

It is worth mentioning: laxatives are for help with constipation and to help you poo. They are very dangerous if you use them frequently for weight loss.

Many anorexics use laxatives and it is dangerous if taken to extremes.  You could end up highly dehydrated lying in a hospital bed.  That said, I don't think there is an age limit but so many laws have changed lately on over the counter meds it is difficult to say.

What is it exactly you want to use them for?  If it is weight loss it won't work.
