  1. Yes 16 is the minimum age to participate in the Olympics, if you are younger than that, there are the Junior Olympics.   Although i would say that a 16 year old would never have the experience and ability to play olympic volleyball.

    The U.S. does not have any special rules that i am aware of.  We have at least one 16 year old gymnast and a 16 or 17 year old female swimmer.


  2. I believe you have to be 16 to participate in any Olympic sport. The US may have different rules for its athletes though
