but kids start drinking from the age of 14 ish...

i lived in sweden and it was the same there!!

In restaurants, it's 18. At home it depends on your parents allowing it or how good you are at sneaking it.

The legal age to purchase alcohol is 18. In England you can legally drink in your home with parental permission at the age of 5 years.  In a restaurant you can drink with a meal at the age of 16, provided you have the restaurant's permission. If you don't have a meal you must be 18.
