21? I keep hearing all the benefits of drinking red wine and I was wondering if it was ok to have a little bit if you're 16. Is it illegal? Thanks.

  1. 21 in California.  Ask your parents if and when they open a bottle if you can taste.  They may say no.

  2. grape juice has the same antioxident and other benefits as red wine... just drink grape juice. Alcohol is worse for you while your body is still developing, so I wouldn't recommend it until you are over 20... not on a regular basis anyways...

  3. In the United States you have to be 21 to purchase and drink red wine along with all other alcohol. However, many states allow you to drink alcohol with parental supervision in the privacy of your own home so ask your parents (it's not like the police would search your house and arrest you if you were just drinking some with dinner...). In the rest of the world though, the drinking age for beer/wine is usually 19, 18 or 16.

  4. Don't! What if you like it? you are going to lead to more and more and soon you'll be an AA junkie.

21 to buy any alcoholic beverage. Your parents could get in trouble.

And oh my god, please don't drive

  5. Its only legal with your parents consent and they have to be present. otherwise no its not legal. its only healthy in small amounts.

  6. Really are you that daft??  The legal age to consume ANY alochol is 21.  Do you not know that??

  7. it depends where you are

  8. Alcohol is alcohol, whether it's red wine or whiskey. The legal age limit for drinking in your state covers red wine as well.

  9. Honestly, do you think there is any difference in the age limit of alcohol based off what you're drinking???? Of course not! You are too young to be doing that to your body, regardless of the "health" benefits. . ..If your parents serve wine with dinner and allow you to have some, that's one thing, but it's not like you could go out to a bar as long as you were just drinking wine, or could buy it on your own. . . .
