How old do you have to be to drive a motorcyle in MI?

I'm 16. When i tried to look up information on this all it said was that you needed a valid automobile driver's license, which i now have... so can i now get a bike?

  2. Once you have a drivers license you are eligible for a motorcycle endorsement.  No separate age restriction.

    Don't get one.  You have a lot of mistakes to make.  What is a minor mistake in a car is often fatal on a motorcycle.

    You also need to learn to predict other drivers mistakes before they make them.  That takes a lot of experience.

    Wait until you have 50,000 miles under your belt.  Then consider the motorcycle endorsement.

    In the meantime, keep a sharp out for those of us on two wheels.

  3. Check with your DMV. All states list their requirements on a web site.
