  1. No, you do not have to be 18 to drive in Vancouver.  As long as you have a valid driver's licence you can drive at age 16.  Make sure you have picture ID as well as a birth certificate or a passport in order to enter Canada and remember, Canada is metric so when you see speed limit 100 km that does not mean 100 mph.  It is closer to 60 mph.  Also, our fuel is sold by liters, not gallons so be aware of that as well.  Hope you have a great trip and welcome to Canada.

  2. If you have a legit, full license, your good to go.

When you have full license you can drive anywhere because only your home laws apply.

  3. uh nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

are you kidding you have to be 18 to drive in california I'm 13

and I live in vancouver burnaby and i have a brother that is 16 he got his drivers license so yeah you have to be 16 to drive in vancouver not 18?

  4. do you have a full valid drivers liscence?  if so you'll be ok

  5. You have to be 16 y/o to get your Learners license in Vancouver but it doesn't matter if you're from California. If you're just visiting you only need a valid license from California.

  6. If you have a valid drivers license you will be fine, if you are from here you get your learners permit at 16 and have to have that for at least a year, and after that you can only drive with one passenger for 2 more years, the laws of your state apply to your license

  7. You have to be 16 to go take a learners test. One year after you may take the road test. One year after that you can be a regular driver, no L's or N's on your car.

  8. BC has a graduated licensing program, so the earliest you can get a learner's permit is 16, you have to hold that for one year, at which time you can test for a 'new driver' restricted license. You have to have that for at least 2 years with no major infractions, and then you can test for a full unrestricted license. If you have no restrictions on your license that would prohibit you from driving out of state, you'll be fine.

  9. You also have to be able to swear loudly, use your middle finger and drive badly in order to fit in with the locals.
