  1. 30 years old

  2. Basic requirements usually include:

completion of an application for family home license

background check, criminal history check and finger

printing of each adult member of the household

    family stability

    home inspection and personal interview

    character references

    minimum age of applicant: 21

    prior to licensure/certification pre-service training

  3. You have to be 21 to foster children in the UK and there are no upper age limits (i know a lady who is in her 70's and has been fostering babies for over 50 years).

The process of becoming a foster carer is an extremely long one, taking around a year on average. If you want to foster children over the age of 3 then you must have a spare bedroom (foster children are not allowed to share a bedroom with the foster carers biological children).

If you want to become a foster carer then i admire you for doing so, but i must warn you it is not an easy job and some of the children's families can be extremely difficult to work with. (Am only saying this as some people falsely think that fostering is an easy job)

  4. you have to be 21 to adopt.

  5. The minimum age is 21

  6. "Age

The law tells us that you must be at least 21 to adopt a child, unless you are the parent of that child. If you are the parent, you must be 18 or over and your partner must be at least 21. The law does not give us a maximum age but we will always look at the age difference between you and the age of the child. For example, we would not usually want a baby to be adopted by a couple who are in their mid 50s."
