How old do you have to be to get a motorcycle learners permit in California?

I am 14 but would like to no how long i have to wait before i can ride a motorcycle legally in california. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

Be at least 15 ½ years of age

Have your parents’ or guardians’ signatures  on the application form DL 44 if under 18

in Michigan you have to be 16 and have a valid operators license.

not a bad rule in my opinion.
