Not exactly sure, but think it's 16.  Could be different for each state.  Talk to school counselor to be sure.

You can be any age as long as you have finished middle school and not have completed high school.

It differs by state. Some states require you to wait until your original class graduates. Contact the School Board or the Super Intendent of schools in your County (should be in phone book under City or County Government).

In most states, you have to be 16 or older to take the GED test. However, more importantly, you must be out of school for at least 1 year before taking the test.
