How old do you have to be to give IVF treatment?

My aunty cannot have kids so my mum said shed be an egg doner. But you have to be under 35.

Im 16 next year and would happily do the IVF treatment. Is 16 the minimum age? Or is it 18?

I think in that situation with parental consent you would be allowed in most places, but it depends on the state, too.  In order to be an egg donor to random people, you need to be 21 in most places, 18 in some, but private donations to family members fall under different or no legislation in most states (a notable exception is NY, so if you live there you'd have to look at getting the procedure done in a different state).  If your aunt, mom and you want to go on with this, a visit to the reproductive endocrinologist is in order.  You should also know that you will have to take medication for about a month to a month and a half that will make you quite sick and undergo a painful removal under general anesthetic.  Also think about how it will feel to be around a cousin that is really your son or daughter.  Egg donation is not something to be taken lightly, however if you decide to give this gift to a family member I'm sure they will be eternally grateful to you, and seeing their happiness and knowing that you gave such a profound gift as the gift of life can be very rewarding for the right person.

Hmm id say it would be 18, I dont know though, could your auntie wait a few years?
