How old do you have to be to give blood?

Hi! I am 14 and I live in Northumberland, UK.

I really want to give blood as soon as i can and i have researched how old you have to be but i keep getting different answers like 16/17/18. Do i need parental permission and how often can i donate?

i think 16 and no i don't think u need parental permission you can only donate once every week i think
