How old do you have to be to go on holiday without a parent/guardian.?

Im thinking about going on holiday with three of my other friends when im 17 but im not sure if ill be allowed to go on a flight with no adult. also , usefull tips for me going abroad would be much appreciated =)

once you hit 16 you can go on holiday by yourself
