  1. Some babies are prescribed contacts, there is no minimum age, but it is best if the wearer is mature enough to take good care of them.

  2. There isn't a set a age for wearing contact. My brother started wearing them when he was 8 and that was 13 years ago. It depends on if your parents will allow you to wear them , and if the doctor you choose to go to is willing to fit you with them. If you have a particular doctor in mind you can always call them and ask them at what age they generally start fitting contacts at.

  3. I am 13, and I get my contacts on Tuesday. My eye doctor told me that I had to be sure that I was ready, and that I could touch my eye. You also have to be able to afford them, which includes the solution, refills, and contact lesson. The contact lesson was $60 for me, and they are going to teach me how to take care of them, put them in, and take them out. I would also recommend the dailies, because if the dailies tear or something happens to them, you dont really have to worryl.

  4. get your eyes tested goes for every age.

    about the contacts, idk, sorry.

but an advice from a short-sighted:

as long as your eyes keep getting worse, glasses are cheaper than lenses ;-)

  5. You can technically wear contacts at any age, however they require additional responsibility on the part of the person wearing them to make sure they stay clean and the person's eyes stay healthy.

The youngest person I know to wear contacts was 10 years old and had to prove to her parents that she was responsible enough to wear them.

  6. There is no written rule about minimun age and contacts.  However, the doctor and or parent will both want to ensure that the child is old enough to take care of the lenses, or that the parent plans to be doing it.  The eye exam can be done on infants and up.

  7. I had a daughter that had her first eye exam when she was an infant. She was also prescribed glasses.

  8. You can have an exam at any age, but as a general rule, I'll start fitting contacts around age 12.  There is a responsibility factor that must be met when wearing them, and most are ready by age 12.  I do have some precocious 10 year olds wearing them.  There are exceptions, of course.
