How old do you have to be to help at the vets office?

Are there any general age requirements? I'm just looking for a summer thing to do, I don't even need to be paid. I could sweep floors, clean up, assist with holding animals, feed animals, comfort animals, anything!

Out in Arizona you have to be at least 18.  Even if it's unpaid.  I'm not sure why, maybe a liability thing, but they won't even let you behind the desk, lol, unless you're 18.

At least in Canada that's what the rules are.

You probably won't get to help restrain animals as a volunteer unless you've had extensive experience with animals. No one wants some random animal lover to help them get bit.
