you have to be 18 years old, but because at that age your credit history is probably not very established, you are not garaunteed to be accepted.  if you really want it though, you might as well give it a try; it does save you 10% and then lets you build rewards...

You're going to have to be at least 18, but age is not the only factor in getting a credit card...  They will also look at your credit report, your work status and work history, and then if everything meets their standards, they MAY issue a low-limit card for starters.  Pay it on time, don't go over your limit, and in six months or a year, they may increase your limit.
