How old do you have to be to rent a hotel room in cancun or anywhere else in mexico? a bunch of my friends were planning on going and we're all 18/19

viente tres mijo. sorry that you are too young. My grandparents own the tijuana inn...and that is the age cuz they know people like to party in mexico. that is 23 in english! Good Luck!!

When you enter Mexico you are an adult if you have 18 years old and you are responsible of all of your acts. The problem is they might ask for a Credit Card. Unless everything is paid up in advance with your mom and dad credit cards. Bring cash and a debit card just in case, do not trust anyone who tries to invite you a drink.

Most of the hotels in Cancun have a minimum check in age of 18.  It is clearly stated on the hotel's website.  You should be fine.

Call up the hotel. I'm sure it's going to be 18 or up. Some hotels have become very strict and have increased the age due to damage from "spring breakers"
