  1. You have be seventeen because you have to have at least a provisional driving license which you cant get until 17. You also have to have your CBT.

  2. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Lea...

    17 is the minimum age to get a valid provisional licence, you can apply for and hold it before your 17th birthday but it will not be valid until your birthday, you can also take your CBT the day the licence becomes valid.

    However, a motorcross bike is not legal on the road, it will need to be at least an enduro bike, properly registered and insured.

  3. you must have a provisional licence and a valid c.b.t ( DL 196 ) to  ride a 125 cc  in the U.K

    at 16 you can take your c b t if you hold a provisional bike licence it does not matter if you take it on a  scooter ( twist & go ) or a gear bike.

    on your 17th birthday you can go up to a 125 cc bike you do not have to take a theory test and your c.b.t you took at 16 still covers you as it is valid for 2 years from date of issue.

    ======================================...

      the cbt validates your licence not the cc your age  states what engine size you are allowed in the u.k yes you need both cbt/provisional

    ======================================...

  4. you have to be 16 to ride a 50cc moped and 16 to ride a 125cc

  5. 17...provisional and passed the cbt...

  6. At 16, you can take the CBT but I think it only lasts 2 years so you'll have to retake it in two years. At 16, you can take the exam and theory test to get a provisional moped licence which allows you to ride mopeds up to 50cc.

    At 17, you can take another exam to get a full moped licence or provisional motorbike licence (I think thats' what they're called. Might have different names) which allows you to ride the 125cc bikes.

    At 21 you can take another exam and get a full motorbike licence (might be called something else), which allows you to ride any size.

    Hope this helped x

  7. im sure you have to be 17 but why not check out the DVLA website. Incase you dont know DVLA is the licensing company for the UK.

  8. You must be 17, and hold a valid CBT pass.

    You can then ride your 125 on L plates
