  1. I varies from state to state.  In Texas there is no age limit, only the requirement that minors wear a helmet.

  2. State Motorcycle Laws -

  3. The basic rule for passengers on motorcycles is.

If they can sit on the passengers seat and their feet can reach the rear foot pegs normally, not just on the toes, they are old enough to ride.

  4. No age limit applies to a pillion passenger.

They have to do the following

    Wear a legal Helmet.

Be able to reach toe footrests

Be able to hold on to either the grab rails or rider.

More information can be found in the link below.

  5. i think any age under 10

  6. not so sure because you would be riding the bike and looking around and if you had say a 4 year-old he could jump off at any time so i would say 10+

  7. Here in California, all it says is the passenger has to be big enough to reach the foot pegs.

  8. some state's have an age limit but most go with the passenger must be able to put both feet on the passenger foot pegs while seated on the back behind the rider and strong enough to hold on to the rider

  9. b/c it's a motorcycle, I would think the smaller and younger the better.

  10. I was wondering the same thing! In Pennsylvania, there is no age restriction, according to this web site. Here is the link; you can look up your state.

  11. It depends on which state you are in. I'm in Florida and there is no law as to the age, so pretty much .. anyone can ride passegner, if they don't have to be in a carseat.

  12. I've had my 4 year old grandson ride with me. In the subdivision below 25 miles per hour.

The situation dictates the answer. On the highway the foot peg rules are the best to follow.

We had a couple who had their 9 month old on the bike with them, between them on the highway. They were arrested, CPS was called, his drivers license was pulled and they paid a major fine. Now CPS monitors them. Can you spell stupid?

  13. Under 10.. maybe.. or any short person will do fine =P

  14. no age limit...if your child can't hold one then they shouldn't be on the bike.

  15. Here's your real answer:

There is no minimum age limit, but they must be able to have their feet fully on the foot pedals, be sitting properly in the passenger seat and be able to either hold onto the driver or onto the hand rails.
