  1. animals travel separately on plane . You need to hire an animal cage and probably a sedative for both of you may be a good thing as very traumatic. I have taken a dog on a short one hour flight and spent time calming him while he was in his cage at the terminal. The attendants thought he was a special breed to receive so much attention. He was special to me as I had bought him from a rescue home while I was on holidays in another city. My friend bought a Siamese cat which she loved very much but thought that her parents would love him even more so she sent him by plane to the country town they lived in. However they just did not like the cat. They can be very vocal so they sent him back. I helped picking him up from the airport ---  so animals can travel even on their own but consider the animals feelings and if you are going for a short holiday it may be kinder to leave them behind in the home they are used to so good luck but if still decided to take the animal contact the company and find out (perhaps just by ringing) the details and the cost---maybe a boarding kennel is a better option.

  2. I don't think there is an age. Just follow all the rules for carry on pets.
