  1. i know you can be a volunteer program aid with girl scout camps.

if your interested in that, go to (http://girlscouts.org/councilfinder/), choose your region, and you will be directed to a certain website in which there will probably be a list of dates and times of local camps that will need volunteers for day camps.

i think it is safe to say no camp will turn you down to volunteer,

If you are looking into like a resident camp concil job, usually in girl scouts, you have to be going into the 11th or 12th grade to go into CIT training for resident camps. that is what i am doing this year, and that is a 3 week session usually, but its really alot of fun, and you learn to work with the kids at the same time, and you get first aid training and all that stuff.

But, if your just looking into volunteering for day camp, just go to the website i directed you to,

also if your looking into resident council, go to that, and just find camp programs, and look up the CIT program.

    i hope i helped!!

    have a fun summer!

  2. It depends on which position you're applying for and which camp. Visit ACAcamps.org to look at accredited camp regulations.

  3. CITs usually are anywhere from age 14-16

It really depends on what type of summer camp it is.

  4. It depends on what you do, and what the policies of the organization are.

I would talk it over with your parents and get their OK and their input, then talk with a trusted religious leader to get some leads. If you find your choices are limited, try SOMETHING, even if it's not your first choice. This will be your foot in the door, and next summer, you'll be able to say you did thus and so last summer.

Keep your parents informed every step of the way and they will think you're the greatest kid since sliced bread. (I know. it's kinda dumb. but in my day, it was a phrase that meant "a good thing." humor me)

  5. it depends on if it's a day camp or an overnight camp. If it's a day camp they might except you as a vollunteer at a younger age because the vollunteers who stay over night have more responsability. The Yoga center in my town had a day camp and all I had to do was show up for one hour to teach a crocheting class and go home. If you are 16 or 17 you could talk to your school councelor about vollunteering at an Out Door School. Which is another way of saying Nature Camp. Out Door Schools are ussually ran through the middle schools. And High Schoolers in the upper classes vollunteer there.
