How old do you have to be to volunteer at the library?

any age. they look for mostly teenagers and older because they want people that are mature and helpful.

i asked the libraries and they said they dont have volunteering stuff like the shelving stuff

only the kinds like helping kids and stuff

generally 13, 14 is the min age

Any age really, most likley in your teen years though.

I started volunteering around the age of 13 at mine. Just go in and ask, they should have a program!

Thirteen is the common age for libraries to begin accepting teen volunteers.

We use volunteers as young as 12.  They are excellent helping with the toddlers' story times.
