  1. The hospice I volunteer for requires you to be at least 18 for patient care volunteer work.  There are programs for younger teens in high school programs, to be trained and make supervised visits to interview patients (should the patient desire) and leave record to pass to the family.  This program is called "Lifetime Chronicles".
