  2. That depends on your local and state laws and on comany policy.  My husband's cousin worked at a Starbucks in Illinois, and she was 15.  Of course, it was a Starbucks inside a Target store, so technically she was an employee of Target.

    By the way, Starbucks is always listed in the employment mags as one of the best companies for part-time employment.

  4. Where I live, they usually hire at 18 (out of high school because of the hours), but they sometimes do hire at 17.
