How old do you have to be to work at..............?

im 16 so i was jw if they were only hiring like 18 year olds.

Yes you have to be 18 to work in a dept store. The reason for that is the odd and sometimes long hours that they require. I would try a smaller store like KB toys or foot locker.

i think its either 15 or 16. i know you can work there when your 16 though. a bunch of 16 year olds from my school work there. good luck!

I'm not sure. Try going to their website to see. You will most likely just have to go to human resources at the mall or something.

You're all wrong. There's plenty of managers out there that work with students. You just have to find them. You need to check with your state laws. Some say 15 an some say 16. There's rules/laws and you should know them as well as/better than your employer so they don't pull anything illegal.

There are laws regarding age, hours, school, summer break, etc. Go find out what your allowed to do, then fill out an application online. If they have a problem with your age, then it's age discrimination. JCP claims to be an equal opportunity employer. But there's no reason that they can't decide to hire someone who is available more hours than you are.

Do your own homework and don't let people's opinions and guesses mess you up.

You can email JCPenny and ask the age minimum, but i'm pretty sure 16 is fine.
