how old do you need to be to get a tattoo? i know any age with parent consent, but how old to go by yourself?

and the only way around the age limit is if you're a complete idiot and you go to a complete idiot who doesn't care how old you are

but, that can leave you with a nice case of Hepatitis or HIV

18yo. some states it's 21yo.

and NO not every/any state will tattoo you with consent of your parent or guardian

it's best to wait till you are 18yo or older. so you can make a more mature decision.

people who get tattooed under 18yo generally live to regret the design and need it covered up or removed

and those who get them done w/o permission usually have it done in a back alley basement set up and get c**p tattoos.

wait till you are 18yo or older and go to a studio to get it done properly

it is not any age with parent consent it  is 18 full stop.

a respectable studio will only work on 18+ no matter what.

You have to be 18 to get a tattoo legally. You can always find someone who is willing to tattoo anyone for cheap out of his/her basement, but I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. Its just not safe, You could catch something serious.

You have to be 18..And you have to be 16 to get one with parents consent..You just can't tattoos at any age,but most shop will not tattoo under 18 even WITH parents consent...
