How old do you need to be to travel on a aeroplane?

Me and friend want to travel on a plane (Age 15 and 16) Is that allowed?

At age 15, American Airlines considers you old enough to travel without an adult although your parents may choose the pay the "unaccompanied minor" fees to have you supervised during your journey.  I'd be surprised if other commercial airlines had significantly different policies.

If you're breathing and you pay, you can go. You may need to be delivered and met b y an adult, and a flight attendtant may be assigned to you, but at your ages, it's very unlikely you'll need that.
